The older we get the more important exercise becomes. I’ve heard time and time again people say I’m too old to exercise. The truth is nobody’s to old exercise. Your body is very much like a car engine, a car engine needs oil for lubrication otherwise it ceases up.
This is what can happen to the human body without exercise. Plus as we age we lose bone mass, muscle, balance, co-ordination and our energy levels decrease. Exercise can help combat all of these problems and can slow the ageing progress down.
Our over 55’s fitness classes are specifically designed to enhance cardiovascular fitness, total body strength, core stability and posture. During the sessions you will perform a series of resistance exercises using free weights combined with aerobic exercises and floor work which is designed to improve core strength. The sessions will also include various stretches to improve flexibility and posture.
